It is with mixed emotion that I write this letter. An opportunity has presented itself that I just cannot turn down I will be working overseas beginning in June. I am submitting my letter of resignation today, April 1, 2008, my last day to be effective May 30, 2008. I hope this will provide you with ample time to find a replacement so as to not leave you with an empty position. I have thoroughly enjoyed working at Midwestern State University and although I am happy and excited about my upcoming endeavors I am sad to leave the community that I have come to love so much. This university has provided me with so much growth and opportunity it is with great sadness that I will have to leave. Thank you for everything you have provided me with MSU will always have a special place in my heart.
